Dear RPi team!
Few days I spent for this sandwich to get it work
https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/CM4-NANO-C#Datasheet
But unfortunally.
This is a module Raspberry Pi Compute module 4 (eMMC) in pair with Waveshare NANO-C shield.
When I got the module it has been partly working - I saw boot display via HDMI on my TV and color graduation screen.
But after this was the a blank screen for 2-3 seconds and "No signal" message forever. Although I saw the ACT LED blinks like HDD indicator - OS boots.
I have some experience in this small computers and I tried 2 another HDMI cables and different power cords and adapters - it did not help.
So I moved to search the file config.txt or smth like that to change HDMI configuration. I installed RPIboot (under Windows 10) and did all the steps under official instructions
to open boot partition of my CM4 like a disk, to edit configuration files.
My module has the switch, witch allows the update of internal flash.
Powered up CM4, and my Windows detected "BCM2711 boot" device - it's easy.
But when I executed the RPiboot, it did internal magic, my CM4 was rebooted and became not a Disk, as expected, but unknown device.
From this moment my problems started. I thought problem in Windows and turned to do this operations in Linux. But got the same result.
So I understood that is smth wrong with module. Also I have read on Waveshare the notice "EMMC version cannot use SD card for booting, please note it", so it is only eMMC accessible for use.
I started to experiment with CM4 and made "rpiboot -d recovery". After this the normal boot of module wasn't anymore - no signal on HDMI at all.
I'm happy with reading the UART0 and can see debug info.
I tried to do different types of recovery, msd, msg, secure boot, changed latest pieeprom.bin from repo, plugged prepared with RPi_imadger SD-card, erased eeprom, but did not back bootloader at all.
Please can anybody point me what can I do to bring the CM4 back?
I was read many pages of documentation, and did not find the right way.
Maybe I did wrong sequence of actions, or did not understand how is it works right, my mind stucked.
