Networking and servers • Wireguard Help Needed

Hello everyone!
As the title suggests I want to plug my Pi5 into my routers Ethernet. And be able to connect to the Pi5 to encrypt traffic. Using wireguard.

I've found some tutorials but most commonly for connecting from outside the home network. This isn't what I need.

I'd like to connect my Pi to my router via Ethernet have it run a wire guard von. And then anything I connect to the Pi using a usb/ethernet adapter & anything I connect to the Pi using Wi-Fi to be encrypted.

I'd like to keep my original router so other devices can still connect normally.
This isn't for geolocked content it's simply for encrypting traffic from specific devices connected.
I'm thinking OpenWRT might be the way to go but any help or links to guides would be great!

Thanks.

Edit: for more info
I currently use Mullvad as a client so using the config wireguard files from them would be a good help.
I basically want to go

Local Network -> pi5 -> home router -> internet

Where devices connected to the home router are NOT using the VPN and just go on as normal but
Where as devices connected to the Pi5 via eth or Wi-Fi are encrypted from the Pi5 to the internet and back.
Is this possible? I can’t seem to find anything similar online
