What is going on with the Raspberry Pi Imager? I have 1.8.5 on both Windows and the Flatpak on Fedora, and it takes a long time to write images now. This used to be a fairly rapid process, but now on microSD cards and to the eMMC drive in my Seeed Studio reTerminal it takes a long time - close to an hour.
The interesting thing is that if I flash a card and then immediately flash it again with the same image, the second time goes very quickly. It is acting as though it checks the partition sizes, and if the new sizes are different from what is already on the target storage device, it is reformatting the device the slow way - erasing all the blocks first!
