I am running a Raspberry PI as a kiosk. PRETTY_NAME="Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)"
However, I only keep the monitor turned on when actually in use.
When you power the monitor on, the screen changes from fullscreen to a normal window look.
I have a terrible workaround going right now where I watch the screen height for the specific
IP address of the kiosk and if it is less than fullscreen, I reboot the PI to have it come back to fullscreen.
Yes, when I power on the monitor I could just hit an f11, but normally I do not have a keyboard attached.
Besides, powering on the monitor is just part of a larger automation that powers up lights, ceiling fan, led strips,
TV. Which is all driven by voice command.
How can I get raspberry pi to ignore the monitor (TV) power on and stay fullscreen?
Thank you for any help you can provide and God Bless!
