HATs and other add-ons • New m.2 HAT troubleshooting

I have a new Raspberry Pi m.2 Hat+ with a Pi5 and a 1tb SSD.

I am doing a new install, the Pi is working booting from the SD card.

How do I verify the SSD is visible to the PI? There is an orange light on on the HAT, but it wont boot to the NVME.

What should I look for?

So far I have tried:

Code:

pi@raspberrypi:~$ sudo lspci00:00.0 PCI bridge: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries Device 2712 (rev 21)01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Device 1de4:0001pi@raspberrypi:~$ sudo lsblkNAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINTSmmcblk0 179:0 0 59.5G 0 disk ├─mmcblk0p1 179:1 0 512M 0 part /boot/firmware└─mmcblk0p2 179:2 0 59G 0 part /

The problem may be my SSD I purchased. It's a SATA Drive, a replacement is on the way.
