Troubleshooting • Pi5 won't launch any applications after a couple hours

All need some assistance, Here is the situation, when I leave the Pi5 running over night or if I step away for a couple hours, when I come back the Wallpaper is gone and No Applications will start. The tool bar is there and I can open the tool bar but I can't select any applications none open. To resolve the issue It will allow me to select restart (which takes longer than normal). Once the Pi5 comes back up it works fine again. I am using the included distro it is up to date. Is anyone else having this issue?
I have tried different SD cards and I have reloaded the raspberry pi distro multiple times with different brand SD cards etc so I don't think that's the issue.
Any idea?
