General discussion • Copying File - Permission Denied

I'm trying to copy a zip file downloaded via Chromium to a directory under /usr. I'm using the File Manager on the Raspberry Desktop. However when I paste the file I get a "permission denied" error. Is there a way to do this via File Manager or do I have to use Terminal and sudo commands?
