Hi forum,
I'm going to start my first larger project on RPI.
It should run on as low as possible processing power
and power consumption. I don't have an idea of the
RPI power and possible GPU support needed.
The application shall collect pictures with the Pi HQ
cam. The frequency for capturing is roughly 1/s to
SD-card for days.
To make it possible for peristent storage not the full
fledge pictures could be stored.
My idea is to make a first image processing in realtime.
A rectangle of at most 5% is of interest in HQ. This
lookup might be done by simple graphic processing.
That means after pre-processing this small rectangle
should be stored in jpeg in full resolution. A second
image of the whole picture should be stored as well
but in very low qualitity.
It would be nice to hear which size of RPI box could
do the job? Especially as it would be nice to stay
on a battery powered solution.
thanks in advance
