Advanced users • Any Tips for Speeding Up the Manual Process of Setting Up a RPi (After the Image is Flashed and Booted)

Hi all

Imagine this situation:

You downloaded the latest Image of Raspberry Pi OS,
you flashed it to a microSD card,
and you inserted the microSD card into your RPi board, and **successfully booted**.

Now comes what I call the Manual Set Up process:
1) Install your favorite programs
2) Configure each of them
3) Configure the OS and its parts (e.g. SSHD settings and security)
and more..

Now If a person has only 1 RPi board, and doing it once,
then spending half a day on it may not be bad.

But if you have several boards,
and buy each board that is released,
then you start to wonder if there are things that you can do to make this process shorter..

Can you guys recommend me any way that you use, to save work and time on this part?
(everything after the part in which the OS is flashed and booted)

Thank you very much

PS:
I am not worried if the board is working half a day on its own..
I am worried about me being a part of it.

So by speeding up I don't mean making the RPi run fater when installing my favorite programs,
I mean having to do less work and less intervention during this whole half a day event
