Good Afternoon,

I am looking to start a project where I have a big red arcade button on the wall and, when I push the button, it will activate a motorized disco ball and turn on 2 disco ball spotlights. I am also contemplating it activate a song as well when the button is hit.

The motorized disco ball, the 2 lights, and the amplifier for the song will be plugged into 3 (potentially 4) separate outlets. I was hoping to get someones opinion on the best way they can think to utilize raspberry PI to automate the disco ball starting to spin, turning on the spotlights, and initiating a song.

Currently, I am thinking of leaving the lights, motor, and amplifier all plugged in and in the "on" position. Then when the button is pushed having the raspberry pi send a signal to a smart switch will then flip "on" causing all the outlets to become live and powered on.

These are new outlets and switches I am running so I have complete freedom over how to wire.

I wanted to get your opinions on this and whether you believe this model will work? Also, what Raspberry PI module would you suggest for a project like this - and does anybody know of a way to hardwire the raspberry pi module to the switch to activate instead of going over wifi/bluetooth!

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!
