I'm trying to connect an ESP32 to a Rpi 3B+ via UART but when I unify the GND pins for both boards they turn off.
My only connections are: ESP32 TX pin to Rpi RX pin, ESP32 RX pin to Rpi TX pin and ESP32 GND pin to Rpi GND pin.
Trying to figure out the issue I realized my Rpi has negative output voltages for 5 V and 3.3 V. Using a multimeter I meassured -3.3V and -5V respectively.
Is that why both boards turn off when I try to unify the GND pins? If that is the case, can I get some advice on how to solve this?
