Troubleshooting • Rpi 5 fading light and no display

Hi,
I am having an issue getting the display to appear on the PI5.

When I first started playing around with the Pi, I could boot into Ubuntu and get to the settings, but I had to take my eyes off it for 10-15 mins. I came back to the monitor, and the pi was very hot. I unplugged the pi and let it cool but now the pi doesn't boot.

I noticed that when the SD card is plugged in the light starts to fade in and out so I switched to a USB stick, but still nothing.

Now I'm changing settings around in the config.txt. Here's what it looks like now:

Code:

# For more options and information see# http://rptl.io/configtxt# Some settings may impact device functionality. Here is the hardware I use:
- pi power supply official
- pi5
- SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSD
- Lexar 64 GB flash drive

If anyone can help me, your help would be much appreciated. If there are other posts with similar issues please link them here so I can take a look.
Hopefully, I didn't brick the pi5 I just bought.

Thank you
