Beginners • Ras PiOs Bookworm: Turning off the display of dot cursor in RealVNC viewer

Is there a way of turning off the display of a dot cursor (in addition to the arrow cursor) when accessing a RasPiOS Bookworm Pi by RealVNC? I've found the DotWhenNoCursor option on RealVNC Viewer and set it to False, but it has no effect, probably because WayVNC server (as opposed to RealVNC Server on older versions of RasPiOS) doesn't set the relevant flags as described on RealVNC's site: "This parameter is ignored unless SendPointerEvents and the VNC Server AcceptPointerEvents parameter are both TRUE.".

Can it be solved, or do we need to wait for RealVNC Server to support Wayland so it can be installed in preference to WayVNC server?

Not critical - just a minor annoyance to see the arrow cursor lagging behind the dot...

<Columbo mode> And another thing... </Columbo mode> Is there a way of accessing a Bookworm Pi from the cloud, or can it only be done within the LAN from a TCP connection? The sooner we get RealVNC server on Bookworm, the better...
