I spent the whole week figuring out why my 8 GB RPi 5 board is not able to find and mount a Kioxia Exceria G2 1T drive. The board lives in a brand new Argon 40 NVMe case. Everything is fine except the drive. Which I cannot make it work. There's no freeze, no errors in the kernel log, nothing that would spot the bug.
I followed up every manual, forum at hand to upgrade / install / fix the system, still no nvme, no drive.
I decided to write here in my last desperate attempt asking for your help. How can I debug the RPi 5 to find out whether it's due to broken pcie port, broken cable or something else. Because I believe I did everything I could on sw / system end. Note, each component looks in good shape, no scatch, no broken plastic part.
I really appreciate your thoughts, sugesstions.
