Troubleshooting • All keys stop working properly.

I am running a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W and I have it up and running well. I attached a PiSugar 2 and wanted to install all the things to have it work properly and found instructions on how to do just that quite easily. I run into a problem immediately after the first step, which is to run this line: And it starts working and downloading stuff and goes smoothly until a screen appears and asks me what kind of pisugar am I installing, it's multiple choice, I hit the arrow keys to move to the proper selection and the cursor doesn't move, none of the keys work except to display what appears to escape characters. Nothing seems to get me out of that screen and pisugar never gets installed. Can anyone please help?
