Troubleshooting • Why a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 exploded when a Pi 1 and 4 did not

I have had a raspberry 1 and 4 controlling and dimming a LED strip for a few months using a MOSFET directly connected to the GPIO and using the raspberry's PWM.

I replaced the raspberry 4 with a new Pi Pico 2 and, as soon as I plugged it to the MOSFET, the pico "exploded" close to the micro-usb connector (and the LED strip is busted, too). I wonder which difference there's between the "big" raspberries and the pico that, connecting the same circuit, the "big" ones are happy for months whereas it instantly killed the pico one.

To get into details about the circuit, the IRFP460 MOSFET is connected to the raspberry directly with the gate, and the source goes to the neutral and the ground of the raspberry. I used this schematic without the resistors, because there were not effecting the Raspberry 1 and 4.

I am comfortable with coding a raspberry, but I'm a newbie on the electronics side, so I would appreciate any help and guidance. Thank you!
