The documentation is quite clear that when it is powered by a Pi's USB ports it is limited to 60%/50%, but how does it know? The USB plug on the monitor seems to be just for power and not as a device. I'm hoping to understand how it knows the difference so I can understand if I can get 100%/100% if it's plugged into an appropriately power USB Hub that is connected to the Pi (but not powered by the Pi) or if it will also enforce these limits when powered by any host rather than a power only plug. I've got 2 guesses of how they do it, but they result in different outcomes in some scenarios and there may be some other way. Does anyone know for sure how it's done, have I missed some documentation, or has anyone tested some of these other scenarios to know how it behaves?
