Hi all,
This is an odd one. I need an alternative power supply for the RPI ( primarily pi 4’s ). It needs to be a USB C connection but with a transformer that has a separate / replaceable power lead and plug I.e. not the std plug type . The reason being is the RPIs are being used as a controller for a sensor that will be installed on street lights, they go inside a dedicated external enclosure and the power supply can go inside that. The power will be via a 16amp ( commando type external socket ) via the street lights hence why I need to be able to use a std cable that plugs into the transformer so I can swap the three pin plug to a commando type plug.
Have googled loads but can’t seem to find anything. most USB C power supplies seem to be high wattage ( for laptops etc ) and I presume they would damage the Pi.
I have in the past tried POE alternatives but the Pi became unstable presumably due to insufficient power supply.
If anyone can suggest an alternative power supply that would be great. I need about 70 of them !
