I am trying to get the USB3 ports working on a CM5 in a CM4IO board. I have created an adapter from the CAM0/DISP0 to USB3 connectors. The problem is it only works in USB2 mode.
I posted about this issue in another forum about the hardware viewtopic.php?p=2280226&hilit=cm5+usb3#p2280226 and it was suggested that it might be a software issue because the USB3 port are "disable" in the .dtb file.
I followed Jeff Geerling's blog https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/2023/ ... spberry-pi and changed the USB items to "okay".
The problem is it does not make any difference. I also changed the "model" string to include "USB3" so that I could see if it was being used, however when I boot the system the device tree model does not include it.
I changed the CM5 on CM4IO and CM5IO .dtb files and I also tried using "device_tree=" in config.txt but it never uses the new "model" label.
How do I change the .dtb and make sure the CM5 uses it?
