I recently purchased some of these purple rPi 2040 clones from AliExpress and I foolishly assumed that the pinout would be the same as the standard rPi2040.
After soldering onto a PCB, I later found out that one of the usual inputs (pin 14(?) on a standard rPi2040) is actually a ground pin on this board.
Upon further investigation that I should have done previously, it's clear that there are other discrepancies between the boards.
It's not the end of the world as I can just use some other rPi2040 for this batch of PCBs, but I was just wondering:
• Why has the manufacturer produced a rPi clone that has a different pinout from the original board? (Not a 'dig', just genuinely curious)
• Does anyone here have a schematic/pin out for this purple clone? I notice it's sold by several online retailers but I can't seem to find a datasheet.
Even on the https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006 ... ss listing that I purchased these from, it appears as if the seller has included the pinouts for all versions on the listing except the purple board.
