Dear all. I switched my router and my config stopped working. Not sure if I am doing something wrong (I have reconfigured everything again) but all help is appreciated.
I have 3 devices:
- a Pi @ 192.168.9.64
- a NAS @ 192.168.9.36
- my router @ 192.168.9.254
- I have installed Pi-Hole, running in the Pi with the address 192.168.9.64
- I have installed PiVPN, running in the same Pi. It detected Pi-Hole, asked to use it as DNS provider, which I accepted.
- I've chosen Wireguard and port 30000 UDP which I then forwarded on my new router (for some reason default port was not possible to forward - said it was being used, don't know why); endpoint is my DDNS address.
- Pi-Hole diagnosis shows all is ok;
- in Pi-Hole interface settings I have toggled on "Permit all origins" (not sure if needed, but I remember I had this on);
- PiVPN debug log shows all is ok;
- I've then configured my client Wireguard tunnel with a QR code from the PiVPN console;
- in this configuration I've only changed the DNS provider, placing the IP of the Pi - 192.168.9.64;
With this configuration I connect the Wireguard client and it does the handshake. I get an IPV4 address and an odd "(...) 5ee:bad:c0de (...)" IPV6 address;
My client can then access the Internet but it cannot access my local NAS which is running in 192.168.9.36. DNS cant resolve local IPs, it seems.
Not sure what I am missing from last time since it was working before the router changed.
Thanks for all the help.
