Hello,
The 2.4GHz works although I'd like to understand the relation between the Wifi icon in the taskbar and the wpa_supplicant.conf file. Using the rpi-imager I configured SSID and password when burning the RaspiOS 32-bit version (most recent). Upon first boot the Pi400 would not connect. So I looked into the wpa_supplicant.conf file and saw that the password was a long series of unrelated characters. Using nano I entered the correct password (note the proper country was set) and rebooted immediately. Still no go. So I used the taskbar Wifi icon. First thing I did was to configure the country. Suddenly the APs in the area showed up (they were not shown previously_. Then I entered SSID and password, and it connected.
So I wonder if the wpa_supplicant.conf is used at all (perhaps the real config is found elsewhere) and how enable/disable wifi from the command line for testing purposes (I could be using the RaspiOS version without GUI in the future). I did quickly browse Wifi topics here but did not find any answers.
Thanks.
