Beginners • Recommendations for my CV project, on Pi 4 or 5, with cameras...

Hi all, I am working on a computer vision project, with object detection which triggers an automation which operates an emulated android app.

I am just start trying to figure out what sort of hardware I will need to use in order to build this.

Details

Two cameras
Internet connection
The camera feeds will go through YOLO or tensorflow or tensorflow lite for objection detection.

When certains objects are detected, the program will run some automation on an emulated android app.


What hardware will I need for this project ?


The cameras will be between 1m and 2m from the raspberri Pi (is that possible ? I see that there is a 1m cable).
Should i use a USB modem or a hat modem ?
Should I get an AI camera ?
Is this better suited to a Pi 5 ? How much RAM will it need ?
