Hi, Im trying to get my own RP2350 dev board. I'm going back and forth with JLCPCB because they are asking me to confirm the orientation of the specialized inductor that the datasheet strongly recommends. I've gone through the datasheets, looked at examples but really don't know what is correct because the official datasheet of the RP2350 and the Abracon datasheet of that inductor, linked in the RP2350 datasheet itself, seem to contradict. I'm using the recommended placement from the RP2350 minimal design reference guide which places a front silkscreen dot above the +1V1 pad of the L1 inductor.
How is it possible that the RPi foundation on pg. 453 of the datasheet shows the polarity indicator on the right side with the coil winding going counter clockwise and magnetic field direction moving towards the edge (negative on the right, positive on the left) and in that very datasheet which links the datasheet from Abracon, the dot is still on the right but now the coil winding is going clockwise with the magnetic field direction moving inwards and away from the edge, with the positive on the right, and negative on the right?
Which way is correct? and how do this translate to the correct placement of the L1 inductor when the two official datasheet seem to say different things?
Any insights would be helpful.
