Over the past 3 months I have ordered 8x RPi 4 Model B 1GB from The Pi Hut and 10x RPi 4 Model B 2GB from Farnell UK.
All of these units have had flux and solder residue on the underside of the board.
5 of the pi hut boards have failed and released the magic smoke, which I believe was caused by some rogue solder.
Some of the units failed while being powered on via usb c, booted into pi os and idling with nothing connected to any interfaces.
The units failed after being manually cleaned using pcb cleaner.
Is this common for the RPI4? or have I just gotten extremely unlucky.
What are the chances that purchasing from another supplier will have the same quality issue?
