Pi5. 8GB. 256GB NVME. Bookworm fully up to date. 2.8GHz overclock.
On first load, Thunderbird mail client takes over 30s to show itself. There doesn't appear to any CPU activity.
If I exit it and then reload it is pretty instantaneous.
If Thunderbird has NOT been loaded and I try to use Mousepad to read a 4KB .txt file (nothing fancy in there) it takes at least 30s to load.
If I exit Mousepad and then run it again, it is instantaneous.
After running Mousepad, if I THEN run Thunderbird for the 1st time it is pretty instantaneous.
AND After running Thunderbird, if I then run Mousepad for the 1st time it is pretty instantaneous.
Whatever is taking 30s at 1st startup seems to be a common factor in Thunderbird AND Mousepad.
Does anyone have any ideas?
