Configuration environment :

It is not easy to find information about linux configuration.

Reading tons of tutorials i discover that user must belongs to group dialout.

1°) Under kde desktop, usb device does not mount automatically. You need to make an action on the device icon and ask to mount.

As the firmware software has to be copied to the pico the procedure seems to be
a) Connect the micro usb to the pi, press 'bootsel' then connect the usb A side to the computer
b) When a message from linux computer tell that connexion succeed
Question 1 is : --> I suppose that I must ask kde to mount the Pi Pico

2°) When the copy is finished, one start THONNY to configure the interpreter
At this step the Pi Pico reboot
Question 2 is : --> If the Pi Pico is disconnected, that involve a subsequent re-connection via 'BOOTSEL' or Not ?.

3°)Re-connection
a) One choose the micropython firmware
b) One choose the port : <Try to detect port automatically> as we are disconnected there is no port to choose.
c) Close 'THONNY'
d Connect PICO using BOOTSEL ( as pico device is fdisconnected )
Question 3 is : --> As I am using KDE, at this step does I leave Pico not mounted, or does I ask Kde to mount the pico device ?

4°) Restarting 'THONNY'
a) The pico is not connected, no port shown
b) If I click in the option 'Install or uograde firmawre, I get the pico device connected in THONNY :
MicroPython v1.24.1 on 2024-11-29; Raspberry Pi Pico W with RP2040
