Troubleshooting • hdd crash

Hello,
I've try to search a response but without success.
So there is my problem:
I've bought a raspberry pi 5 and try to connect a HDD 8To self powered but each time I start it the pi freeze.
Unable to mount the disk, it just appears in the file system but can't do nothing. My wireless mouse freeze also.
When I powered on the disk, I can't do nothing, fully freeze.

Before the pi 5 I had connect many time the same disk, on a raspberry pi 3b and I was able to access to my files and obviously mount it every time without any errors or problems.


I've try to mount the disk on a windows and all works fine.
Any suggestions about my problem?

Raspberry pi 5 8gb
HDD Maxtor 3.5" ntfs 8to in a powered case by 12v 2A
Distri raspberry pi Os 64bits
