General • Raspberry Pi Pico crashes after multiple reboots

Hello, I had 2 prototypes working well, until my MQTT broker had a failure, and when it could not connect and the watchdog went into action, after several days (3 or 4) of restarting every 25 or 30 seconds, the Pico micros collapsed and are no longer functional.

Each card, of the 2, failed in a different way. In one, it connects to the MQTT broker and receives and sends messages, but it no longer connects to a secondary microcontroller nor does it perform other functions.

For its part, the other prototype cannot connect to the MQTT broker, although it does connect to the internet and apparently everything else is fine. In the latter I have already tried with previous versions of the program, even with examples that previously worked well, and it is not possible to connect to the MQTT broker. On the network side I am using a Wiznet W5100S chip that I have used in many similar projects. Apparently, something physically (or logically) got damaged inside the Pico micro and it can no longer "connect" properly to the W5100s chip. I have already tried with different sockets and the same thing. I have already turned off the power even for days and when I turn it on it does exactly the same thing.

I'm really surprised that something like this could happen. I hope you can take this into account and if you require more information I am fully available.

Thanks in advance.
